Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the NELA Ride service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

NELA Ride is a community connector platform that helps riders request connections with available community drivers. HaciGroup does not provide transportation, employ drivers, own vehicles, guarantee rides, or provide insurance. Drivers are independent community members, not employees of NELA Ride.

User Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

Rider Terms

As a rider, you agree to treat drivers with respect, provide accurate pickup and destination information, and pay or contribute any amounts you authorize through the app. You are responsible for the behavior of any passengers you add to your request.

Driver Terms

As a driver, you agree to maintain a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance, comply with all applicable traffic and transportation laws, maintain your vehicle in safe operating condition, and complete rides you have accepted unless there is a safety concern.

Payments and Fees

The app may show an estimated suggested contribution based on distance, duration, and operational factors. Suggested community contributions are shown before confirmation and may vary based on route or request details. Payment is processed through the app when a request is completed.

Safety

We are committed to safety but cannot guarantee the safety of any ride. Users should exercise personal judgment and caution. Report any safety concerns immediately through the app or to local authorities.

Prohibited Conduct

Users may not use the Service for illegal purposes, harass or threaten other users, discriminate against any user, attempt to defraud the platform, or interfere with the proper functioning of the Service.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NELA Ride shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid through the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California.

Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes through the app or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
